How to Convert Photoshop Plug-ins to Paint Shop Plug-ins
- 1). Open your Photoshop plug-ins folder. This folder is located by default at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop\Plugins on a Windows PC and /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop/Plugins on Mac OS X.
- 2). Highlight the file or files of the plug-ins you wish to copy to Paint Shop. The file will have the extension 8BF. Open the Edit menu and choose "Copy," or use the shortcut key "Ctrl"-"C" on a Windows PC or "Cmd"-"C" on Mac OS X.
- 3). Open the Paint Shop plug-ins folder. This folder is located by default at C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro\Plugins on a Windows PC and /Library/Application Support/Jasc Software Inc/Paint Shop Pro/Plugins on Mac OS X.
- 4). Paste the 8BF plug-in files into the Paint Shop plug-ins folder. Open the Edit menu and choose "Paste," or use the shortcut key "Ctrl"-"V" on a Windows PC or "Cmd"-"V" on Mac OS X.
- 5). Restart Paint Shop and access the new filters by clicking on the Effects menu and choosing the "Plugins" option. Paint Shop automatically activates any plug-ins located in its plug-ins folder when you open the application.
