Traditional "Social TV"

• The concept of people coming together to discuss what's on TV is nothing new. Ever since the TV became affordable for most Americans, families and friends have gathered in front of it to watch broadcasts. Everything from presidential speeches to sitcoms to sporting events has brought people together in front of the screen for several generations. Around the turn of the 21st century, however, viewership for live television broadcasts was generally declining.
