Most ladies always buy a lot of makeup products that they do not need.
This leads to them acquiring products that they do not use and keeping it for years because they do not want to get rid of the product that they have not finished.
Keeping a makeup product for years and using it after a long time could cause you to have a flawed makeup and also have a lot of skin and health problems.
The source of the problem of keeping your makeup product for long is due to lack of knowledge.
So permit me to enlighten you a bit to prevent makeup disasters from occurring.
FOUNDATION: It is easy to spot when a foundation has had it (normally after a year) because it separates and sits on top of the skin like a mask.
CONCEALERS: Reflective concealers need to be replaced about every three months to avoid irritating the delicate skin around the eyes.
EYE MAKEUP (EYE SHADOWS & EYE LINERS): A year is a realistic shelf life for eye makeup.
Keep sharpening pencils to reveal fresh products and do not dip your fingers into eye shadow pots and palettes.
MASCARA: Expect to throw your mascara after three months as the moist texture of the product of the product and continual exposure to air encourages the growth of bacteria.
Imagine if the bacteria enters your eyes (I recently had a problem with my eyes due to my old mascara).
Small tube opening last longer and protect the contents better.
TIP: Avoid pumping the brush too much as it dries out the product.
BRONZER AND BLUSHER: A powder blush will last up to two years.
If it develops a film over the top, simply wipe it off and the powder underneath will be fine.
A cream blush will need to be replaced every six months.
LIPSTICKS AND LIP GLOSSES: After about 3 months the texture becomes less glossy, they start to taste and smell funny (i.
e.
for lip glosses).
Lipsticks can stay for a year to 18 months.
Do not worry if tiny moisture bubbles appear on the top, just wipe them away.
BRUSHES: You can use them for a lifetime if you get good quality ones.
Clean them in mild shampoo, squeeze out excess water & let them dry naturally.
Now you know what to do, when to throw what and keep what.
Do not let the makeup police arrest you due to your terrible &old makeup products.
So go out there and have a great makeup experience.
