- 1). Determine where you would like to place your flagstone.
- 2). Measure the length and width of the section you would like to put the flagstone in. If you have more than one area, do the measurements for each section separately.
- 3). Multiply the length times the width to determine the area of the space. If you have multiple sections, determine the area of each and then add up all of the totals. For instance if you have two 10-by-10-inch sections, they are each 100 square feet in area. You would then need 200 square feet of flagstone.
- 4). Contact your local retailer to order your flagstone. They will be able to help you with the exact amount needed for ordering; however, 1 ton of flagstone typically covers 100 square feet.
