How to Shine Bathroom Tile
- 1). Mix a homemade cleaning solution of white vinegar, borax, ammonia and warm water into a large bucket. Reader's Digest recommends using 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/4 cup borax, 1/2 cup ammonia and 1 gallon of water, but these amounts can be eyeballed. Use a large spoon, mop or other item to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
- 2). Sprinkle dry baking soda over the bathroom tile. The amount of baking soda used depends on the size and amount of tiles you're cleaning.
- 3). Saturate a mop or sponge in the cleaning solution. Mop or scrub the bathroom tiles. Scrubbing the tiles with a sponge is recommended if they are particularly dingy.
- 4). Leave the cleaning solution on the bathroom tiles for approximately 15 minutes. Saturate a clean mop (or rinse the mop you used in Step 3), sponge or cloth. Mop or scrub the bathroom tile against to rinse the floor.
- 5). Dry the tile with clean cloth towels, or use a fan to air dry the floor.
