However, the spine pain can also be caused by poor posture, carrying a heavy backpack or sitting at a computer desk improperly.
If your child complains about spine pain, take them to a doctor just to be safe.
If no serious issue is found then take simple steps to eliminate the pain.
Teach your child to have good posture when standing and sitting.
Also, never let your child carry a heavy backpack repeatedly.
Show them that they don't need everything they're trying to carry, some things can probably be left at school.
If your child has a lot of homework, tell them to carry some books in their hands.
This will take some weight off their back and shoulders.
The newest cause of spine pain in children is sitting at a desk incorrectly.
Your child should not be able to sit at the computer right after you without adjusting things.
Most computer desks or stations are designed for adults.
If your child wants to use the computer at home raise the chair or have them sit on pillows or even a booster seat.
They should not have to look up at the screen.
Make sure they can easily reach the mouse, they should not have to stretch their arm to reach it.
Lastly, have them sit comfortably and with good posture.
