Supplies Needed To Make A Podcast
Creating a podcast doesn't have to be hard at all.
Once you have the needed tools and materials, you can start recording.
It's not a tough thing...
I imagine if you've never created a podcast before, you may be hesitant about making one.
But if you have created a YouTube video before, you should know that creating a podcast is no different.
In fact in some cases, you can extract the audio from your YouTube video and turn it into a podcast.
You will want to mention your website address in your video - so that people who listen to your podcast can know where to go to get more information from you.
It's a simple and easy process.
So what things do you need to have in order to make a podcast? Well, not much really.
When I created my first podcast, I used a horrible sounds "text to speech" software.
I wasn't ready to record my voice, so I hid behind the awful voice of a robot.
Please don't follow in my foot steps.
Here's the first thing you will need to create your podcast: 1) A microphone In some laptops today, an internal microphone is already embedded into the computer.
But if your laptop doesn't have one, you could always go to Staples or Best Buy and buy a microphone to record your podcast.
Or if you already have a camcorder, you can knock 2 birds out with 1 stone.
You can create a YouTube video, mention your website details, then extract the audio.
A great program that you can use to extract the audio from your YouTube video is something called "Arcsoft Video Impression".
It's a great piece of software to purchase - especially if you want to take this podcast thing seriously.
Here's something else you will need: 2) MP3 converter Why do you need an MP3 converter? Well, let me break it down to you real quick.
There are 3 popular audio files that you can record your podcast into.
They are: WAV, AIF, MP3.
WAV files and AIF files are uncompressed, very high quality audio files.
These are the files that musicians use to record songs with.
However, there is a drawback...
these files are EXTREMELY large.
So trying to have someone download one of these very large files will take forever and a day.
...
in comes MP3 files.
MP3 files are compressed audio files.
And while you can improve upon the quality of these files using different kinds of software, it isn't as high quality as WAV or AIF file types.
But the size of the MP3 files are incredibly small - small enough to have someone download it within 3 minutes.
MP3 files might not be the best format, but people can understand them.
This is what you will want to create your podcast files in.
It's the standard, and when uploading to a site like iTunes, they will want an MP3 file.
Hopefully these 2 elements for creating podcasts have inspired you.
It's something that you will want to use in your online business today.
Take care.
Good luck with marketing online with podcasts.
