- 1). Visit the website Opt Out Pre Screen. The website was established by the credit bureaus to accept and process requests from people who want to stop receiving pre-approved offers for credit cards.
- 2). Click on the button at the bottom of the home page to begin the process of opting out of credit card marketing offers. Select one of two choices for opting out: Opt out for five years or opt out for life.The five-year opt-out can be completed online; the permanent or lifetime option requires you to print a form from the site and mail it in.
