How to Write a Co-Signer Agreement

    • 1). Open your word processing software on your computer and create a new document. Type the title of your company at the top of the page. Include contact information such as a phone number and address.

    • 2). Title the document "Co-Signer Contract" underneath your contact information.

    • 3). Type the tenant information, such as the name, Social Security number, his employer, the employer's phone number, his date of birth, a phone number and an address. Underneath this type the same information for the guarantor. Include Social Security numbers if you wish to obtain a credit check.

    • 4). Include a section that says that the guarantor is agreeing to be responsible for all payments owed by the tenant including unpaid rent, legal fees, late fees, maintenance or damage charges. State that it is the co-signer's duty to let your company know if he moves, changes phone numbers or changes employment.
