  Celebrate the hilarious antics of everybody's favorite beagle with a Snoopy-themed bash. With Snoopy's numerous games, plots and high jinks, there are a number of themes you might adopt. Let the lovable pup play host for Christmas, Halloween, a birthday, a family reunion or any other pretext to party. Tailor your theme to the guests and the guest of honor's interests and ages, and select whichever of Snoopy's alter egos best complements your occasion.
  
  

A Snoopy Family Reunion

• For a Western-themed Snoopy party, invite guests to a reunion of Snoopy and Spike. You might use the theme for a family reunion of your own, a birthday party or any pretext for a rootin' tootin' and kid-friendly Wild West affair. Cut saguaro cactuses out of heavy-duty cardboard. For large and strong sheets of corrugated cardboard, find some old refrigerator boxes. You can also make your own cardboard cutouts of Snoopy and Spike. If you aren't artistically inclined, have a print shop blow up images of each pup to the proper size and simply trace their outlines. Serve cookies cut in the shape of dog bones. Provide cowboy hats instead of party favors, or send them out in advance, with invitations tucked into the brims. Wet guests' whistles with fruit punch served in canteens or in rustic jugs labeled "Moonshine."
  
  

Holidays With Snoopy

• For a high-spirited Halloween or Christmas party, focus your theme on Snoopy and the rest of the gang. For Halloween, create a pumpkin patch where guests can await The Great Pumpkin. If you use real pumpkins, incorporate a pumpkin-carving activity and contest. Have guests come costumed as their favorite characters from the Peanuts comic strip. Set out plenty of Halloween candies in dog bowls marked "Snoopy." For decorations, print out or draw several copies of a basic Snoopy image. Give each one a funny or spooky Halloween costume, and hang them on the walls. For an extra touch, use small plush Snoopy dolls, and dress them up in different doll-sized costumes. Serve cupcakes topped with orange and black frosting and plastic Snoopy figurines. On a dessert table, lay bone-shaped sugar cookies against black paper to form a skeleton, with just a few bones missing. Place a guilty Snoopy doll to the side, with crumbs around his mouth.
  
  

Other Snoopy Themes

• If your guest of honor enjoys writing or reading, theme the bash around Snoopy's literary aspirations. At the entrance, set a plush Snoopy doll and a typewriter atop a plastic doghouse. Let a scroll of butcher paper or old-fashioned computer paper stretch along the walls of the house. At one end write "It was a dark and stormy night..." and leave out markers for guests to collaborate on the rest of the tale. For high-flying guests, throw a bash in honor of the flying Ace, providing guests with goggles and scarves. For a traditional Snoopy-style birthday party, decorate the birthday cake with Snoopy's doghouse. Use graham crackers to build the structure, binding it and coating it with red frosting. Frost the cake itself to resemble green grass.
