How to Remotely Activate a Macbook Webcam
- 1). Click the "Apple" logo on the menu bar of the desktop of the MacBook that you want to connect to.
- 2). Select "System Preferences" from the drop-down list, then click "Sharing" in the Internet and Network section. The Sharing window opens.
- 3). Click the "Screen Sharing" check box in the box on the left side of the window.
- 4). Click the "Computer Settings" button, then click the "Anyone May Request Permission to Control Screen" check box, then click "OK."
- 1). Click the "Finder" icon on the other Apple computer's dock.
- 2). Click on the Mac's "Hard Drive" icon under "Devices" on the left side of the window.
- 3). Double-click "System" on the right side of the window, then double-click "Library."
- 4). Double-click "CoreServices," then double-click "Screen Sharing." The Screen Sharing application opens.
- 5). Enter the IP address of the remote MacBook, then click the "Connect" button. Enter the username and password for the MacBook when prompted to access the computer.
- 1). Launch the application on the MacBook that you want to use to activate the webcam. Photo Booth and iMovie are examples.
- 2). Click the "Movie Clip" "Camera" or "Video Camera" icon depending on the application.
- 3). Click the "Capture" or "Record" button, then confirm that you want to record on the pop-up window. Click the "Camera" "Record" or "Stop" button when you want to stop recording.
