Working from home has taken modern day employment to another level. Who would have thought that years of tedious studies obtaining degrees or investing insane amounts of draining labor, at what we like to dream is an 8-hour workday, would result in the same boring job or no employment at all. Who would have thought that you can create comfortable earning power in the online world.

You can manage your own time while blissfully seated in the comfort of your home. I have dedicated countless hours in front of my laptop and inherited bags under my eyes. The success and simplicity of starting an internet business and becoming your own boss is measured by three behaviors I describe below which were a hefty contribution to my 'aha' moment along with a moment of harmless envy. Ask yourself. Is my goal living to work or working to live? Don't I already drive results for my boss? What prevents me from executing the same behavior for my own self?

Simply put, the gears are completely in the control of the beholder and I don't care what you may have heard but there are no overnight sensations. Whether you are making the shift from an obsessively soul draining work routine or seeking a new adventure with entrepreneurship in the online world, it requires a dedicated, driven, level of commitment.

1. The goal to attain- Define where you want to be and when you want to be there.

How many of us live day in and day out without defining our goals? Each day is outlined with the usual tasks while very little thought is given to how happy these tasks make us feel and how well they support our overall financial status. How can I make myself happier while fulfilling my mandatory obligation to earn money? Will I even have enough money to retire comfortably? Do I want to be extremely wealthy or do I want to be comfortable? How can I set myself up to benefit from a steady stream of income, forever?

2. The drive to a lifestyle change- Dedicate some time and think about how you can benefit from making a stream of income an addition to your lifestyle.

I will tell you a story that truly shifted my drive into full force. A couple of years ago I relocated to a less expensive living arrangement and moved into a condominium complex. Over the summer, I met a few of my neighbors and became more familiar with where they lived and what they drove. I noticed that no matter what time of the day I was leaving for work, one of my neighbors always remained home. Their cars never seemed to leave for long periods. One Saturday afternoon the wife came by my home with her daughter to sell us some Girl Scout cookies. During casual conversation, I had to ask. Turns out, after she left I felt a bit envious of her. Her husband ran an extremely successful internet business, they owned their condominium, two cars, and were within months of being the same age as I. She did not need a nine to five and both she and her husband were always available to their three children.

3. The execution of knowledge- Set the gears in motion.

Now I don' t know what you heard but I have yet to see any extraordinary results from mediocre execution. I have not seen those who have the "know how" fail unless they did not put the gears in motion. Execution of knowledge is by far the most important piece of building a successful internet business. I considered clicking save and uploading to be my level of expertise at one time. I learned the hard way that a successful venture into the online business goes deeper than that. Your send has to pack a punch of knowledge in order to guarantee you are doing it right. Think about it. You probably could work your current job but would not perform to the highest potentials without some level of training that set forth how to do it the right way. Set all gears in motion and fine-tune what you already know with a more focused and specific 'know how'. Make your skills worth every dime and become 100% your own profit.
