Seldom taller than thirty two inches, Falabella is a rare breed descended from South America.
Despite its small size, Falabella is still not considered as a pony, but a miniature horse.
In their history, they are inbred animals from Argentina.
In the 1940s, a formal breed registry was formed dedicated solely for Falabella, maintaining their breeds in a constant size of forty inches.
But lately, these miniature horses are being maintained at approximately thirty inches, the average size of a full grown Falabella.
Other than the size, it is well proportioned to a horse.
They are similar in their frames and coats, the horse's sturdy bone, and the mane.
Their head may be larger than a normal sized horse, but it is not something that you will consider as abnormal.
Falabellas are intelligent and could be easily trained, and can be ridden by small children.
What's more convenient is that their lifespan is not limited.
Some people are breeding them as a long-term investment, and some keep it as a pet.
But remember, that, like a child, they must be given enough care and pampered, and must be loved like a family for as a pet, they have the right to live, just like everybody else.
