You are ready to give up your job to start your new business, or even scarier, sink your savings into your new business.
You just want to make sure that you have done everything possible to succeed so here is a checklist for you.

Legal Stuff: oDo you have a memorable business name and the associated domain name? oDo you have a legal name and business entity? oHave you got all your licences? oHave you got all you certificates such as health and fire? oHave you registered everything you need to? oHave you told the tax department and got your numbers and details? oAre all your shares, statutory meetings etc correct? oDo you have all the patents and trademarks you need? oDo you have the legal documents on your premises - leases, sales, mortgages etc.
? oDo you have all the posters and legal manuals etc that you need? 2.
Protection: oDo you have your insurances for you, the company, liabilities, staff, premises and vehicles? oHave you got health insurance for you and staff if necessary? oDo you have your pension set up? 3.
Finances: oAre your finances in place and have you signed all the forms necessary? oDo you have enough and on the right terms? oHave you got your bank set up? oDo you have your credit/debit card and payment processor set up? 4.
Premises: oAre your premises/factory/office ready and equipped? oAre all the utilities that you need connected - gas, electric, phone, broadband etc.
? oDo you have all the vehicles, computers and machinery that you need? 5.
Staff: oDo you have all the staff you need? oAre they trained or ready to be trained? oDo you have the necessary uniforms? 6.
Strategies and Planning: oDo you have your Business Plan written? oDo you have a Business Strategy? oDo you have a Marketing Strategy? oHave you decided upon what Business Model you will use? 7.
Marketing and Products: oHave you checked who your potential market is and where these customers are hiding? oHave you ensured that what you are selling is really, really what your proposed customers want? oDo you have your pricing and upgrading sorted out? oDo you have your branding sorted out? oDo you have your starting marketing materials? oDo you have standard replies to customer enquiries, invoices, receipts, business cards and letter heads sorted out? Well, I guess that if you have all of this sorted out that you are ready to start you new business.
