Financial Freedom - Accepting God"s Gift of Financial Freedom

103 15
Sometimes Christians get a bum rap.
We're human (just like everybody else) but oftenChristianity is so skewed that some people will never believe it.
Some people (even Christians) have the misconception that God is just a big bad bully, waiting to kick us in the head if we dare to step out of line.
These same people often have the misconception that God wants us to suffer, that we're never to be happy or financially successful.
And to that I say "HOGWASH!!" God is not an abuser.
He doesn't save the good stuff to give to the non-believers just to hand us, His children, sludge.
God is not "Scrooge" - but neither is he "Santa Claus".
That's why I say it's time to start changing out minds about what God does want us to have.
God gives us gifts.
He doesn't necessarily dole them out like Santa Claus at Christmas time and no, He's not necessarily going to let us win lotto, no matter how hard we pray about it.
However, He does give us physical, emotional and spiritual gifts and it's up to us to determine what we're going to do with those gifts.
(Are you thinking the parable of the sower here?) Well, yes, that's true - but it goes even further than that.
I recently changed careers.
I used to work as a consultant in mostly Fortune 500 companies.
Now I'm a Network Marketer.
I've even recently changed that moniker to "Christian Network Marketer".
One of the reasons that I decided to venture into network marketing is because I want that personal and financial freedom that comes with having my own business.
I joined a young, growing, dynamic MLM company, the Reverse Funnel System, so that I could have more time to work for God.
My heart breaks when I see poverty, abuse and homelessness.
I have the opportunity to spend a couple of months a year going out with a medical missionary team and ministering to those that I care about.
If I worked in a corporate position, I wouldn't be able to spend more than 1-2 weeks a year helping others.
God has blessed me abundantly.
He has given me the opportunity to create financial freedom for myself.
I work hard to achieve it.
It's not like He handed it to me in my Christmas stocking.
Each day I create a list of things to do, goals that I want to achieve.
I don't for a second believe that if I just sat around believing that God would rain money down on me that it would happen.
On the other hand, by keeping my priorities straight, and being willing to serve Him and use my financial success for His benefit, He gives me the gift of financial freedom.
And what a wonderful gift.
I work with my team of Christian Network Marketers and let the world know about the opportunity that the Reverse Funnel System provides and share in the joy and blessings that God has so generously provided me.
Maybe it is more like Santa than Scrooge.
Maybe all I need to do is to be willing to unwrap the gift.
