Critical Crate Training Tips

103 54
Is your dog afraid or unwilling to go into its crate? Is your dog house broken and potty trained? Does your dog cry and whine when it is inside the crate, keeping you awake or driving you crazy? Does it run from you when it is time to go in the crate? Or are you trying to train your dog to be house broken and go to the bathroom outside? In this brief training article I will detail the exact steps you should take to make sure all these problems are nipped in the butt and easily solved! After his morning potty break I usually leave my puppy Lincoln to go eat breakfast with my father and always come back to a silent puppy waiting patiently to be let out of his crate, thanks to the training methods I used.
And when I first got my pup I had to make sure he could control his bladder through the night before letting him onto the bed for sleep.
I know it is important in crate training to give the dog a second to calm down and quit whining before opening the door to let em out so I always waited until he settled down before opening the crate door.
When I did open the door I tried to act as if it was 'no big deal' and didn't give him much attention right away.
I always get the urge to be comforting but I know it won't do Lincoln any good in the long run if I don't use reason and stick to the plan.
It isn't easy to be what we perceive as 'cold' sometimes but it pays off for the dog and they don't perceive things the way we do anyway.
