    • 1). Measure the cabinet side where the drawers will fit. Locate the spot on the cabinet where the middle of the drawer will sit and, using a straight edge as a guide, place a horizontal line at this point on both sides of the cabinet.

    • 2). Measure the width of the drawer. Ensure that the drawer with the sliders attached will have enough space to move within the cabinet. Disassemble the drawer and cut it down to fit, using a table saw if the drawer is too wide. Use a pry bar to pry glued drawers apart at the seams, sanding away the adhesive before cutting to the new size. Nailed drawers can be disassembled in the same manner, using the pry bar. Glue or nail resized drawers before mounting the sliders. Keep the drawer facing piece intact when resizing.

    • 3). Mount the slider rails on the sides of the cabinet, using the marked lines as a guide for centering the rails. Mount the rails according to manufacturer instructions, using wood screws to secure the rails to the sides of the cabinet.

    • 4). Mount the sliders onto the cabinet drawer. The sliders should be mounted evenly on the center of the drawers on both sides, so that they match the mount level of the rails in the cabinet sides. Secure the sliders to the cabinet drawers with wood screws.

    • 5). Align the sliders on the cabinet drawers to the mounted railings. Slip the cabinet drawer into the cabinet, checking that the drawer face is level with the cabinet front and fits correctly. Make any necessary adjustments to the rails or sliders until the drawer slides smoothly into and out of the cabinet.
