Sweet: Use for bread recipes high in fat, sugar or eggs.

Quick Breads: Use for recipes that contain baking powder or soda rather than yeast. Also use for prepackaged cake or quick-bread mixes.

Dough: Use this setting for dough that you are planning to bake in the oven when it is mixed.

    Baking Bread

    • First, you must remove the bread pan and insert the kneading blade. Place all the ingredients except the yeast into the bread pan in the order listed in the recipe you are using. Smooth down the dry ingredients on top, and tap the bread pan to get ingredients to settle. After that, add the yeast last.

Snap bread pan securely into place in the bread machine. Make sure it snaps in. Close lid, and plug into outlet (120 V). Program the machine to your desired setting and choose whether you want light, medium or dark crust. Press the Start/Stop button to get the machine to start baking your bread.

When bread has finished, you will hear a beep. Press down the Start/Stop button until you hear another beep to turn the machine off. Use oven mitts or potholders to remove bread pan from the Toastmaster TBR20H Breadmaker. Be sure to allow the machine to cool off for at least 15 minutes before baking another loaf of bread.

    Cleaning

    • To clean the Toastmaster TBR20H Breadmaker, first unplug the machine, and allow it to completely cool. Remove bread pan. Ideally, this should be cleaned with a mild detergent and gentle cloth so you do not scratch it. Remove any flour or crumbs from inside the oven cavity. For the top, use a glass cleaner and mild detergent to clean.
