How to Create Invites for a Princess & Pirate Party
- 1). Create a treasure map on the parchment. Use dotted lines for the path people can take to your home and then draw an "X" on the place where your home is. Draw things like palm trees and islands on the map so it looks like a treasure map. Throughout the map write the details of the party, such as the time, place, type of party, what to bring, and RSVP requirements. Write something along the lines of, "Follow the treasure map to find the Princess and Pirate."
- 2). Color in the the images you have drawn in order to add color to the map.
- 3). Glue clip art of a princess and pirate on the treasure map. If you have pictures of the birthday girl and/or boy in their respective princess and pirate outfits, you can use them instead.
- 4). Draw on the edges of the "map" with a brown marker so it looks more weathered and authentic.
- 5). Roll the paper up tightly and tie the string around it.
- 6). Combine sand and glitter and pour into the bottom of the bottle. Slide the treasure map invitation into the bottle.
- 7). Place a small piece of cheese cloth over the top of the bottle and tie it into place. This ensures that the sand and glitter doesn't fall out of the bottle and make a mess.
