Wednesday, May 1, 2013: The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius (Discovery) 10PM. This new reality competition, hosted by Kal Penn features 10 contestants faced with seemingly unsolvable engineering challenges.
Monday, May 6, 2013: Newlyweds: The First Year (Bravo) 10PM. This new reality series follows four diverse couples as they face the daily trials and tribulations of the first 365 days of their marriages. Filmed by Emmy Award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentarian Lauren Lazin.
Wednesday, May 8, 2013: Million Dollar Listing New York (Bravo) 10/9PM Central. The show that gives viewers an inside look into the high end of New York City's real estate market returns for a second season, which features a new agent (Luis D. Ortiz) and even pricier homes ($10 million townhomes, $15 million penthouses).
Thursday, May 9, 2013: Wipeout (ABC) 8PM. The reality game show featuring contestants wiping out as they attempt to complete a wet and wild obstacle course returns for a sixth season.
Tuesday, May 14, 2013: So You Think You Can Dance (Fox) 8PM. The hit dance competition returns for a tenth season in its new Tuesday time slot.
Thursday, May 23, 2013: Does Someone Have to Go? (Fox) 9PM. This new reality series follows employees at different offices who are given the opportunity to turn around their troubled companies by cutting salaries or firing fellow employees.
Wednesday, May 22, 2013: Masterchef (Fox) 8PM. The competition between amateur cooks returns for a fourth season on its new night. Can any of the contestants outshine last year's winner (and blind chef) Christine Ha? Only time will tell.
Monday, May 27,2013: The Bachelorette (ABC) 8PM. The dating show returns for a ninth season and stars Desiree Hartsock, who was rejected by bachelor Sean Lowe in season 17 of The Bachelor.
Tuesday, May 28, 2013: Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition (ABC) 8PM. For a third season, contestants lose massive amounts of weight after a year of training and lifestyle changes overseen by trainer Chris Powell (not to mention the plastic surgery).
Tuesday, May 28, 2013:
- Family S.O.S. with Jo Frost (TLC) 9PM. Ever since Supernanny Jo Frost left the show in 2010, fans have been clamoring for her return to American TV. Wish fulfilled with this new TLC reality show.
- Never Do This At Home (Spike) 11PM. Spike TV acquired this series--in which two guys wreak havoc on the contents of a charming farmhouse, doing all those things parents have advised their children to never try themselves--from Discovery Canada.
Wednesday, May 29, 2013: The American Baking Competition (CBS) 8PM. In this new cooking competition, 10 amateur bakers compete in three challenges a week, with the hope of taking home a cookbook publishing contract (with Simon & Schuster) and $250,000 in cash.
