  Celebrate a fifth anniversary with a unique gift your spouse (or the couple) will always remember. Choose something that stands out from the typical gifts given to show this anniversary is special to you. The gift you give for this milestone anniversary should reflect your feelings and your spouses personality. The traditional fifth anniversary gift is wood, and the modern gift is silverware.

• Purchase or make a keepsake or jewelry box out of wood. Choose the type of wood or stain that she favors. Engrave the box with a phrase, poem or personal love note as well as your names and dates, or "Happy 5th Anniversary."
