- 1). Unroll a few feet of plastic wrap and lay it out on a table. Place the skateboard parallel to the strip and wrap it up length-wise several times over. Make sure to cling the plastic to itself around the edges; it doesn't need a tight seal, but it should cover the entire surface of the skateboard.
- 2). Rip the plastic and roll out another few feet; place the nose (or tail, if you prefer) of the wrapped skateboard onto the exposed sheet of plastic.
- 3). Begin rolling the skateboard down the strip, tightly wrapping the plastic as you go; try to use a continuous strip and unroll more as needed. To ensure a complete seal, make several passes up and down the entire length of the board.
- 4). Heat the plastic with the hair dryer on a low setting, while making sure not to overheat any one area as this will burn the plastic. Watch as the plastic softens and the creases disappear. The plastic will heat up quickly, and needs a few minutes to cool before the seal is complete.
