How to Measure for a Snowboarding Jacket
- 1). Measure your chest just underneath your arms and across the shoulders blades. Relax your arms to the side and have a friend pull the tape measure around your chest, connect it, and place it evenly around the body. Record the measurement.
- 2). Add 2 inches to your chest measurement for a relaxed fit. Add 3 inches to your chest measurement for a loose fit.
- 3). Measure the distance from the top of your shoulder to the base of your wrist. Measure on both sides of the body. Add 1 inch to allow room for movement of the arms.
- 4). Measure your waist where your belt buckle normally rests. Your snowboard pants fits your waist size precisely, so your jacket should be 1 or 2 inches wider at the waist, depending on your preferences. Snowboard jackets are longer than most jackets and fall over the waistline.
