How to Fix Thin Frosting
- 1). Add a few more teaspoons of powdered sugar to the mixture and beat thoroughly. Be careful not to go overboard with the sugar because this will make your frosting too thick.
- 2). Add softened cream cheese to the icing. To give extra sweetness to the frosting without adding extra powdered sugar, throw in a few teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk or honey.
- 3). Add a few teaspoons of shortening to the frosting. The shortening thickens a frosting pretty well and is often used as a thickening agent.
