To most people, acne is an issue that needs to be handled immediately.
Basically, this skin disorder develops on almost all people, especially on teenagers.
This is why skin products are in boom even though they are not as effective as they should be.
Like every disease, acne should only be treatment prior to understanding its causes.
So, what causes skin to develop acne? According to some people, acne is a skin inflammation that develops when there is a hormonal imbalance in the body.
In other words, acne is a body reaction to the disruption of testosterone, male hormones.
During puberty, the body begins to manufacture testosterone and thus the skin is greatly at risk to acne.
The reason for this is the body begins to secrete bodily oil after it produces testosterone.
Too much secretion can cause clogging on the skin pores and thus the formation of acne.
Production of too many skin cells can also cause acne.
The body produces too many skin cells due to retention hyperkeratosis.
In this condition, the body cannot properly shed off dead skin cells.
As a result, the dead skin cells build up on the skin pores causing acne.
Aside from internal causes, the pollution in the air and the environment can also cause acne.
Pollution helps in the production of bacteria on the skin.
If these bacteria grow and infect the surface of the skin, acne will be developed.
However, there are some instances that the causes of the problem are deep.
In this case, the acne looks so bad and is quite disturbing.
This type of acne is known as severe cystic acne.
Severe cystic acne is not just a result of clogging up of oil, dirt and bacteria in the skin.
Ugly bumps are formed because the barrier on the skin is badly affected.
This acne is difficult to treat because dirt, oil and bacteria are deeply embedded and thus skin treatment products can't reach the problem.
In severe cystic acne, the bacteria grow deep in the skin and thus they have constant supply of food.
To treat this acne, consult a dermatologist immediately before the bacteria outgrow.
