How to Properly Drain Ground Beef
- 1). Use a large skillet set on medium high heat on your stove. Add the ground beef to the hot pan.
- 2). Let ground beef sit on the pan for a minute or two, then move it around the pan using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula.
- 3). Cook the ground beef until the meat is no longer pink. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 4). Pour the ground beef into a colander or mesh strainer. Use the spoon or spatula to gently press down on the ground beef to remove any excess grease.
- 5). Add the ground beef back to the skillet and make the recipe per your directions.
