- 1). Visit the company's home page to apply to become an ACN representative. You will need to supply your contact information, Social Security number and a reference number from a current ACN employee. You will also be required to pay a start-up fee. As of October 2010, that start-up fee is $499 for new ACN representatives based in the United States.
- 2). Wait for your start-up kit to arrive. The kit will include information and brochures on ACN's products. Since these products are services (mobile phone, home phone and Internet), they will not be included in your kit.
- 3). Tell your friends and family you are now working with ACN. Advertising and selling ACN's products to your personal contacts is the best way to launch your career as a sales representative. As your customer base grows, so will your earnings.
- 4). Recruit others to become ACN sales representatives. ACN is a multilevel marketing business, which means that its representatives make part of their profits based on the sales of those you recruit.
- 5). Report to your supervisor to update him on your sales and progress. Because ACN is a multilevel marketing company, your supervisor (this is typically the person whose reference number you supplied in Step 1) receives a portion of your earnings. Anyone who you recruit to work with ACN (anyone who supplies your reference number on their application) reports to you. You receive a portion of their earnings. These tiers represent the levels in a multilevel marketing company.
- 6). File the proper paperwork (this step can also be done online through ACN's employee section of its website) to record sales. This is how the company knows what you sell. In addition to your commission earnings, you can also earn Customer Acquisition Bonuses, which reward ACN representatives for recruiting a certain number of new customers during a 30-day period.
- 7). Keep in contact with new ACN representatives you recruit to the company. The more services they sell, new representatives they recruit and money they earn, the more you earn as well.
