Students in the media arts program choose the area they are most interested in, whether it is video game design, movie special effects, Web design, animation, audio production or another segment of the multimedia industry.

      The school assists graduates of The Art Institutes with career planning and job placement. Over the course of the education, the student works on many real-life projects and puts together an impressive portfolio to help in the search for a career.

    Brown College

    • Brown College in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, offers a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications with a multimedia emphasis. Students interested in multimedia design will be prepared for an entry-to-mid-level career opportunity at the completion of the four-year program. The Brown College Visual Communications program produces computer-based illustrators, graphic designers, multimedia content producers, electronic production artists and Web designers.

    ITT Tech

    • ITT Technical Institute is a technical college with more than 100 campuses in nearly 40 states. Among the many programs of study available at ITT is the Multimedia program. The program is housed in the School of Drafting and Design. While enrolled in this program, students will learn to create and design interactive multimedia communication. Students use authoring software and motion graphics, and learn visual design techniques in the classroom and in practical settings. Graduates are prepared for careers in computer animation, computer graphics, interactive training material design and multimedia technician jobs.

    Westwood College

    • Westwood College is a multi-campus college started in Denver, Colorado. Westwood operates 17 campuses in six states, including Colorado, California, Georgia, Illinois, Texas and Virginia. The college offers an online campus as well where students can earn an associate's degree in graphic design and multimedia. The program teaches students to communicate visually through various multimedia platforms, and includes technical as well as general education courses to prepare students for a career in advertising, graphic design, and Web design and management positions.
