Don't have time to cook?  Don't want to spend the time or energy to clean the oven, stove, pots, pans and other cooking utensils – but still want to embark on a healthier lifestyle that will improve how you look and feel?  Getting involved in a diet that revolves around consuming raw organic foods is quick, simple, convenient and has a multitude of health benefits.

Many proponents of a raw organic diet claim that cooking food depletes it of vital nutrients – some even go so far as to say that certain processes of cooking can make food toxic.  While cooking your food certainly isn't all bad, there are some methods of cooking that should be avoided or limited for health concerns.  Regular consumption of deep fried foods can contribute to weight issues, heart health issues and more.

On a raw organic food diet you'll be avoiding processed and pre-packaged foods which can dramatically reduce your fat intake and help to ensure an increase in vitamins and minerals as you'll primarily be consuming fresh fruits and vegetables.  Eating raw organic fruits and veggies also allows you to take full advantage of the beneficial, natural enzymes in food (many of which are damaged or destroyed during cooking).  This helps with digestion and utilization of nutrients resulting in more energy and improved performance and focus.

Adding raw organic fruits and vegetables to your routine will also boost your fiber intake and adding fiber to your diet has multiple health benefits.  Fiber helps with satiety, which means you'll feel full and you won't need to consume as much at each meal.  This is great for people who are interested in dropping a few extra pounds.

Fiber also adds bulk to your stool and helps to keep you regular.  Eating this style of diet will keep you satisfied, without the uncomfortable feeling of being weighted down after a meal.  Your digestive system will be clean and functioning properly which will ultimately lead to improved movement and function overall.

Eating a diet consisting primarily of raw organic food is also ultra convenient.  This style of eating does have some prep and clean up if you are consuming a lot of fresh juices and smoothies, but all in all when compared to a more traditional diet featuring primarily cooked foods you will invest far less time and energy in both food preparation and clean up while on a raw organic diet.  The one concern for some might be adequate protein intake, but this can be easily remedied with variety and the inclusion of seeds, nuts and certain sprouts.

If you aren't convinced to at least adopt a partial raw organic diet yet (after considering the convenience and the improvement in feeling and function), there are a few more benefits to this style of diet.  Eating raw organic foods eliminates many of the toxins (commercial pesticides, etc.) from your diet – this coupled with the big boost in vitamins and minerals will help clear up your complexion and improve your overall appearance.  Add all this to the fact that raw organic fruits and vegetables are absolutely delicious and you've got an outstanding combination of features that make for a very solid and relatively easy to follow diet.
