You children should also avoid other popular foods such as fruit roll ups, starbursts and skittles. These types of foods can easily get stuck in the braces and might create problem. It will also make it difficult to clean the braces.

In addition you also need to avoid very sweet food as it too often can cause cavities, especially with braces. It can also cause damage to the braces as well as elastics. During the dental braces treatment the patient actually needs to eat softer foods such as jello, applesauce, soups, eggs, rice, oatmeal, and yogurt.
