- 1). Start a cheap bachelorette party by keeping the decorations simple. Most people aren’t worried about streamers and balloons anyway. Place a centerpiece on a table with the bride’s favorite flowers and purchase paper products such as plates and napkins in the wedding colors.
- 2). Eliminate party favors. Some hostesses enjoy giving out favors, but since a bachelorette party is about the bride, no one will be offended if they don’t get to take home a gift as well.
- 3). Schedule activities that require minimal supplies. A bachelorette party may have a couple games, but you can also spend some quality time talking with the bride about what she’s most looking forward to at the wedding, how each of you feels about her and what she’s enjoyed about the wedding process.
- 4). Host a foot spa party. Collect buckets from friends and purchase a single container of a foot soak, scrub and lotion. The supplies are fairly cheap and should be enough for each guest to use. The pampering time gives everyone a chance to visit, as well.
- 5). Ask guests to bring a small gift for the bride. Many bachelorette parties give lingerie or other gifts for the bedroom to the bride. The bride will enjoy the thoughtful gifts and opening them takes time, leaving less time for you to schedule costly activities.
- 6). Serve snack foods such as crackers, fruits, vegetables and dips. Guests tend to nibble at snack foods and you’ll find snacks are cheaper than preparing a meal. For dessert, offer a few types of chocolate candies, since nearly everyone loves chocolates.
- 7). Purchase a couple bottles of decent wine and then serve cheaper wines for the rest of the evening. After a couple glasses, no one will notice a difference anyway. Do keep a varied selection of wines including red, white and blush.
