    Recommendations

    • In recommendations, the nominating committee secures candidates for office by presenting individuals who qualify for service. All on the committee must approve candidates. When making recommendations, committee members look at professional attributes, residence, competency and personal traits. Recommendations may be made via meetings, conference calls, e-mail, mail or fax.

    Presentations

    • Once decisions are reached, a nominating committee has the duty of providing reports of meeting minutes, decisions made and guideline actions to the Board. These reports are required on an ongoing basis.

    Review

    • Persons on the nominating committees must review board members standing annually to determine if their position is still beneficial to the Board as a whole. This review and reassessment helps the committee to make any proposed changes as necessary.
