Get Your Money"s Worth Or Get Your Hard Earned Money Back

103 43
Everybody understands that a large number of small things turn into a big thing.
So you know that following the suggestion of cutting your $4 Starbucks coffee each day, will net you a savings of $1,640 a year.
Not spending money is one way increase your wealth.
An additional way is thinking about all the ways you can get your money back.
Let's look at some of those: 1.
Is what you've got worth the money? Have you ever bought a clothing item that did not really live up to your expectation? Let's say you followed the laundry instructions and it didn't retain its shape? Or colour? Most people get upset, toss it into their closet and rarely take it out again.
Who loses? You! You've paid hard earned money for something that you now cannot use.
For no fault of your own.
Take it back.
Complain.
Ask for your money back.
Not possible? Ask for the manager! Is there at least a store credit? Even if you have to return the item, the money in your pocket is better than an unworn dress in the closet.
2.
Write a letter One thing I've learned from my father is that a quick letter addressed to a company's head office can go along way.
I've written complaint letters about many things, from stale cookies to ridiculously priced replacement watch bands.
The times I have gotten free replacements, gift certificates, further product samples, and other incentives or invitations far outweigh the times where I have heard nothing or got 'only' a letter of apology.
I mostly say the same thing in each letter and now I have a template that just needs populating.
I won't always splurge on paper and a stamp, but sometimes just send it as an e-mail.
Actual mailed letters to the president however have a better chance.
Do a quick internet search, get the name and address it directly to the boss.
You'll be surprised what an honest complaint returns.
Whether for a product or a service, make sure you get your hard earned money's worth! If not, complain.
For once you've decided that you will part with your dollars rather than save them, you should get at least the same value back.
