The Post-Debate Debate: No Drama Obama
Americans were duped by the pre-programmed corporate media after the first debate..
and even a number of progressive pundits like Chris Mathews were either duped or conveniently using all the noise to cover the fact that before the debate their producers had already instructed them that Obama was going to lose.
And the fact that OUR President left the media and his opponents significant white space had everyone tripping over themselves afterwards.
The President purposely left a huge chasm that Romney and the pundits were forced to fill.
The way to combat Romney's "Gish Gallop" strategy was NOT to be drawn into demeaning slap face arguments in front of 70 million viewers which are being dictated by your opponents use of half-truths, lies and runaway gibberish and yammering.
and the last thing the corporate owned, sponsored and managed media wants is a runaway election! Some have argued after the debate that OUR President does not want to "run away" with the election.
Is President Obama confident? You bet your sweet ass he is! I can accept the usual right-wing zombies wishful thinking...
that this President lost the debate...
but the MSNBC progressive pundits had no excuse - and even some of the Presidents campaign staff weren't completely on board.
How could anyone believe that THIS President doesn't know what he's doing? One of the most often heard criticisms about Barack Obama is that he is too deliberative and overly thoughtful and professorial! This President wanted this to happen and didn't announce his strategy in a press release or office memo! Let's all take a deep breath and a step back now that four days have passed.
OUR President is notorious for his well thought out and prolonged deliberations...
and on several occasions he had been called out prematurely by his detractors as well as the corporate (think GOP) influenced, owned and sponsored media..
Being boring and undramatic are just two of his strengths which have earned him the label "no drama Obama" Did OUR President need to call out Romney on the obvious flip-flops, contradictions, half-truths and hyperbole? No.
Back on the campaign trail re-stocked with lots of new material supplied by Romney at the debate...
OUR President continues to roll!

NOTE:The Gish Gallop, named after creationist Duane Gish, is the debating technique of drowning the opponent in such a torrent of half-truths, lies, and straw-man arguments that the opponent cannot possibly answer every falsehood in real-timeWe are talking about tens of millions of dollars of media corporations campaign advertising revenues people!...
