Planting Passionfruit Seeds
- 1). Cut open a fresh passion fruit with a knife. Use a spoon to separate the seeds from the pulp. Remove the seeds from the fruit. Wash the seeds with water, and the place the seeds in a bowl.
- 2). Fill a pot with seed-raising mix. Place the passion fruit seeds an inch apart from each other on the soil. Cover the seeds with 1/2 inch of seed-raising mix. Water the seeds and place the pot in a warm area.
- 3). Continue to water the seeds daily before and after they sprout. The passion fruit plants should begin to sprout in 14 to 28 days.
- 1). Separate the plants from each other, once they are about 2 inches tall. Fill several pots with potting soil.
- 2). Plant each individual baby plant in a separate pot. Being in separate pots will allow more room for the plants' roots to expand, causing the plants to grow taller.
- 3). Place a small stick in the soil of each pot near each baby plant, to help the plants grow upright. The sticks will also prevent the plants from drooping over.
- 4). Continue to water the plants daily. The plants should begin flowering and maturing in about 12 months.
