- 1). Lead the invitation with a statement about what you want the recipients to do. You could ask them to, "Save the date," or "Please join." You could also indicate your reason for sending the card, "[Your name here] requests the pleasure of your company."

- 3). Provide the reason for the event. A cheese-themed party is suitable for casual gatherings amongst friends, anniversary and birthday parties, and work-sponsored events. Write "In celebration of the season" for a casual gathering or "In honor of [celebrant's name] Birthday."
- 4). Include other details about the party such as date, time and place. For example, "Sunday, the 29th of August at 4 o'clock in the afternoon." Put the name or address of the party venue on the next line.
- 5). Include special instructions and other relevant details about the party. If it will feature a cheese buffet, instruct guests to bring a cheese of their choice, "Please bring a tasty cheese to share. Wine and beer provided by the host." For a fondue party featuring cheese recipes, ask guests to bring their fondue sticks.
