- 1). Log into your to-be-backup-server computer.
- 2). Click the "Start" button and go to "My computer."
- 3). Click on the C drive and create a new folder called "Backup."
- 4). Right click on the folder and click "Sharing and security."
- 5). Choose "Share this folder on the network" and click "OK."
- 6). Access the "Backup" folder from your other computer in "My Network Places" (accessible from the start menu) and copy and paste any file and folder you wish to backup into the "backup" folder.
