How to Make Award Certificates for a Superhero Party
- 1). Count the number of invited guests, than subtract those that have declined the invite. Make enough certificates so that you'll have enough even if every "maybe" shows up.
- 2). Create a border for the certificate on a computer or by hand. If you're using a computer, any word processing or drawing program will work. Pick images that appeal to you, such as cartoon superheroes or shooting stars, and insert them around the edge of the certificate. Leave the center of the certificate blank for text. If you're doing the certificate by hand, draw designs or images around the certificate, or glue sequins or glitter around the border if you prefer. Alternatively, find a template by searching on the Internet for "superhero award," or check if your word processing or drawing programs have an award template section.
- 3). Create an award category for each person. For example: Best Outfit, Coolest Superpower, Most Likely to Save the World from Total Destruction.
- 4). Type or write up the certificates. For example: This certificate is awarded to _____________ for Most Creative Costume. Use a fun font, and print in colored ink or on colored paper. The certificates can also be printed on cardstock or actual certificate paper, but that's not necessary. If you run out of ideas, leave a few blank until the guests arrive -- their costumes may inspire you.
- 5). Put the finishing touches on the award certificate. Jazz it up with sparkly stickers, glitter, or feathers.
- 6). Fill in the names when the guests arrive with a felt pen. Try to match each guest with an award that truly fits their superhero costume.
