The Power of Compound Effort

103 37
Have you ever dreamed about making money in real estate? We'll I know that I have and it's not all easy either..
as many of the "gurus" like to make it seem their is definitely work involved here and when you run into that here's my best advice.
"TREAT IT LIKE A BUSINESS" Real Estate Investing is a business..
its as simple as that.
And in my opinion if you look at it any other way (for ex.
causally) you will not get the results you seek.
The things needed to achieve success in any endeavor aren't rocket science..
it just simple, basic easy to do..
easy not do things.
It a the choice we make everyday, every minute of the day.
Here's an example; I know that if choose to eat poorly and not exercise it won't be long until I'm seeing the results from my decisions..
right.
The extra weight on my gut..
I feel sluggish often, maybe lack of energy.
This is a simple example of a choice and a result..
the same goes with your real estate business.
If you "choose" to do something each day that moves you forward in your business (no matter how small) just something it won't be long until you look back and say to yourself look where I was and how far I've come! That's the power of "compound activity".
Think of compound interest.
You have your principal balance and then the interest on that balance; simple principle and interest right? Well add on the compound effect of the interest each month..
the interest not only multiplies on the principle but also on the existing interest in the account! The number get very large very quick when you look at the power of "compound interest" it doesn't take long.
So take this analogy and apply it to your "activity" in your real estate business.
Is the "compounding effect" of your activity working for you or against you? Here's what I look at in my business: 1.
How many leads I followed up on today? 2.
How many sellers I talked to today? 3.
How many buyers I talked to today? 4.
Price per Deal (marketing costs to get a deal) 5.
Price per Lead (costs to produce a solid lead) 6.
Am I focusing on "busy work" or "income producing activities" ? Just to name a few..
So when I make a choice to do something related to my business; even if it's only a baby step at the time.
I know I am working toward bigger and better things, and that I'm staying focused and on track to my goals..
my dreams..
and my desires.
I don't let other people family, friends or whoever tell me otherwise.
This is something that I have chosen for me and my family and we deserve it, and I will do whatever it takes as long as it takes to achieve it.
That's the attitude you should have! It's up to you to decide for you..
and forget the rest and what they have to say.
No one every erected a statue for a critic.
And their are plenty of people who are happy to tell you why and how it wouldn't work and that your wasting your time..
so you must live with your own convictions when it comes to this.
Success in anything is reserved for those who desire it the most..
and for the longest.
How long are you willing to work for a that lifestyle? I've heard it said that the only difference between a "poor" person and a wealthy person is what they do in their spare time.
Everyone has the same 24 hours..
its how you use them that counts.
Make your "spare time" your opportunity time...
put it to work! Daniel Morrison SMJ Property Solutions
