Visual Journaling - 6 Tips to Get You Started
Have you seen those amazing Visual Journals that people are creating? They not only have writing in them but also drawings or collages or tickets and pictures that people want to keep and treasure from their everyday lives.
These Visual Journals can become a wonderful record of your life that you can look back on for years to come.
Even if you are not artistic you can still create a Visual Journal easily.
Here are 5 tips to help get you started.
1: Buy a Journal that you love.
I find that the best for me are spiral bound with a black cover and thick white paper inside, but its best that you choose one that you like.
2: Go online and Google Visual Journals, so you can look at other peoples efforts.
Its such fun to see the diversity.
3: Plain White pages can be quite frightening and off putting when you are first getting started, so get out some watercolor paints or acrylic paints and just paint the colors you love onto about 5-10 pages them let them dry.
When you have done that, you have actually started.
4: Now go through some glossy magazines and rip out any pages that have something on them that catches your eye or gives you a feeling of pleasure.
5: Rip out and paste the bits you like onto your pages.
A glue stick if good for this.
6: Later go back to the page and write your message for the day.
Don't forget to date the page.
Have fun and enjoy.
