104 70

    No Trigger

    • 1). Hold the fishing pole with one hand on the pole higher than the other. Grab the part of the fishing line nearest the pole and press it again the pole with your index finger; simultaneously flip the bail. The bail is the large mechanism attached to your reel.

    • 2). Position the pole so it's pointing to the area in which you want your hook to land. Bend at the elbow, lifting the pole over your shoulder as you bend, then move your finger off of the line as you bring your arms forward, releasing the line and holding onto the pole.

    • 3). Let your hook sit in the water until you either feel a tug on the line or desire to pull your line back in to recast.

    With Trigger

    • 1). Hold the fishing pole with two hands, one hand higher than the other. Move your index finger underneath the trigger on your pole and flip the trigger over so your bail opens. Hold the line against the pole so your finger is holding both the line and the trigger at the same time.

    • 2). Position your body and the pole so that both you and the pole are facing the area were you would like your hook and bait to land. Bend your elbow and pull your arm back over your shoulder, then throw your arms forward, releasing the line and the trigger.

    • 3). Let the hook and bait sit in the water until you think you feel a tug or until you want to recast.
