Evolving As a Person - From Self to Self
Personal growth begins with the discovery of the our higher Self.
This is the Christ within, created by God.
Before this awakening we live from the lower self, or ego, created by the world.
The lower self or ego is a false sense of who we are formed by the lies of the world.
From the time we are born we may be told that we are ugly or stupid.
Belief in these lies creates the ego, the lower self or false self.
The higher Self or the Christ is our true self created by God.
Because God is perfect, God creates only perfect beings.
God is Love, so we are created out of Love.
God is Divine, so what is created by God is also divine.
How can we recognize the difference between these two selves? Let's start with the ego.
We are in love, but we are afraid the person we love will leave us.
We become angry and frustrated.
We may yell or use physical force to keep that person near.
This only serves to drive them away.
The mantra of the ego is "Seek but do not find.
" We unconsciously sabotage the desires of our hearts.
On the other hand, when we truly love from our higher Self, we are naturally kind and compassionate.
This draws the person nearer to us.
Hence the mantra of the higher Christ Self, "Seek and you shall find.
" There are really only two emotions: love and fear.
The ego lives in fear from which we experience all the negative emotions such as anger, dread, frustration, hatred and so on.
The true Self, or Christ is by its very nature loving.
It sees everything through the eyes of love and so experiences love, joy, peace, etc.
I lived the first forty-four years of my life from the ego, that is, unconscious of the Christ within.
This is a life of great emotional suffering.
When I finally had suffered enough I turned to God with the questions: Who am I? Where did I come from? God answered me with a beautiful vision.
I saw in my minds eye the heart of Christ.
It was bleeding.
As the blood flowed to the bottom of the heart it formed a beautiful rose.
I heard the words, "You are My Rose.
You came from My Heart.
" This was the beginning of my true personal growth.
I have been on this path now for many years and therefore I can now help others to find their true Selves.
God has called me to be a writer.
Many years ago, at the beginning of my personal journey, I awoke with a cramp in my hand and the words in my mind, "Pick up your pen and write.
" I argued, "It's three in the morning and I have nothing to write.
" The cramp got tighter and the words got louder, "Pick up your pen and write!" When I finally obeyed and put pen to paper, out came a beautiful poem that expressed the desire of my heart.
"I'm Ready for Me" Let me be free, free to be me.
Please open the door to love forevermore.
I must find a way to do and to say All that's within.
Please let me begin To blossom and grow.
Inside there's a glow.
My spirit is bright and so I shall write And hope that the words will fly as the birds Lifting me high so I can see why I've come to this earth.
You've given me birth.
I've suffered and grown.
Though I feel times alone, I know You are near.
I'm ready to hear My reason to be.
I'm ready for me! Have you asked this most vital question, "Who am I?" Are you ready for you? Ask and you will receive your own personal answer from Spirit.
You are on your way to experience the greatest adventure ever, your own personal journey to spiritual growth, from self to Self.
