How to Make Lure Keepers
- 1). Cut a 5-inch by 9-inch piece of nylon.
- 2). Mark the center point of the long side with a pin on either edge as reference points.
- 3). Cut three strips of loop Velcro measuring 3, 3 and 5 inches.
- 4). Sew the 5-inch strip of loop Velcro along one end of the lure keeper. Sew the two 3-inch strips along the sides, abutting the 5-inch strip of loop Velcro and leaving a 1/2-inch gap between the end of the Velcro and the pins.
- 5). Cut three strips of hook Velcro measuring 3, 3 and 5 inches.
- 6). Sew the 5-inch strip of hook Velcro along the other end of the lure keeper. Sew the two 3-inch strips along the sides, abutting the 5-inch strip of hook Velcro and leaving a 1/2-inch gap between the end of the Velcro and the pins.
- 7). Remove the pins.
- 8). Place the lure inside the lure keeper and wrap the lure keeper around the fishing rod, aligning the rod with the gap in the Velcro.
