A very good exercise that you can do that will exercise your legs is cycling. This is a very easy exercise to do and it won't require you to spend a lot of money. Also, you need not have a high level of skill just to be able to do this type of exercise as it is easy to learn how to ride a bike and more often than not, you already know how to ride a bike.

Some of the benefits that you will get from cycling are increased muscles tone and strength in your legs. Some people think that only the leg muscles will be strengthened by cycling but this is not true as most of the muscles in the body are involved, only not as much as the lower extremities. Your lower extremities will be able to improve their strength while the rest of the body is also exercised at the same time. In addition to this, cycling would also help build stamina and endurance without you noticing it. This is because cycling is such an enjoyable sport that you will not notice that you are already riding your bike for a very long time. Together with this, it builds cardio-vascular fitness and reduces the risk of getting a heart attack or other similar diseases. Other benefits that you will get are improvement in muscle coordination, reduction of stress and loss of calories in the body. These are all beneficial effects of exercise in general which is why all types of exercise are advocated by doctors.

For some people, cycling might be too easy as you generally do this on a smooth surface such as roads and paths that are really made for wheels to pass by. Cycling here will provide very little resistance thus you can reach your destination without much problems. On the other hand, if you want more of a challenge, then you may try taking up mountain biking. This outdoor exercise is very similar to cycling as you will also need a bike and you will travel from one place to another while riding your bike. The big difference is that you won't be doing this on cemented roads but you will instead be riding on off-road terrain. This will make it much harder to ride the bike as there would be obstacles along the way and you will need stronger leg power to get by all of these and reach your destination.
