    • 1). Search on the surface of your router for a four-number sequence separated by dots. Search also for a user name and password below the sequence. You need these to know your router's Internet protocol address and log-in credentials.

    • 2). Open your computer's web browser and open your router's configuration page by going to the address you found on your router. Log in using the credentials when you receive a prompt for log-in.

    • 3). Click on "Firewall Settings," "Firewall Rules" or "Firewall" on the left side of the page.

    • 4). Add a service here using the button called "Add," "Add Service" or "New Service." You might need a different method, but you generally end up with this kind of setup. Specify the ports, a name for your service, and your server's IP address in their appropriate fields.
