• The Palm family of restaurants began in New York City in 192,6 and the Nashville restaurant opened in 2000. Although the menu offers steaks, chops and pasta, the restaurant is centered on fresh seafood. Appetizers include lobster bisque, calamari, clams and seared ahi tuna. The house specialty is Nova Scotian lobster, with lobsters available between three and six pounds. Other seafood offerings include Atlantic salmon, swordfish and king crab. The Palm offers an extensive wine menu with wine by the glass or the bottle, as well as a large cocktail menu. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, and dinner is served seven days a week.

• Ru Sans is in the center of Nashville between downtown and Music Row. This Japanese restaurant serves both Nigiri and Maki sushi, sashimi, Japanese specialties and a large selection of traditional seafood. Offbeat offerings include baked unagi (eel) pesto, tuna tartar and wasabi-encrusted tuna. Traditional offerings include calamari, salmon and tuna. • Caney Fork Fish Camp is on the northwest side of Nashville outside Opryland Hotel and is named for the Caney Fork River that runs through central Tennessee. This rustic, family friendly restaurant is decorated with moose and deer heads, and and old-style truck sits half in and half out of the wall of the restaurant. The menu focuses on Southern fare and seafood. Its specialty is catfish, which is served grilled or fried. Other seafood offerings include salmon, talapia, shrimp and crab cakes.
