How to Word Baby Shower Thank You Cards
- 1). Make sure one of your friends records the shower guests' names with the gifts they gave as you open them during the shower. Refer to this list as you write the cards.
- 2). Mention the specific gift the person gave you, whenever possible. For instance, you might write, "Dear Mary, thank you so much for the adorable green flowered dress you gave us for baby Emma." Including the actual gift in your note tells the giver that you cared about the effort they put into choosing the gift.
- 3). Write a sentence about how you will use the gift. If it is clothing, you could mention how excited you are to see it on the baby after he arrives. If it is a useful item, such as diapers or baby bath products, mention how you know you will need many of these essentials once Baby arrives and how grateful you are that your friends have helped you stock up before the due date.
- 4). Add a sentence about how nice it was to see the person at the shower or how much you look forward to seeing them again soon. The people who come to your baby shower can be a support system to you in the weeks after Baby is born, and even the years to follow. Show them that you are grateful for their presence on your special day and that you look forward to seeking advice and friendship from them in the days ahead as you begin your mothering adventure.
