How to Sew a Dog Kennel Cover
- 1). Measure the length, width and height of the kennel. Write these numbers down.
- 2). Cut out a piece of fabric 2 inches wider and 2 inches longer than the kennel. This will form the top of the cover.
- 3). Cut out two pieces of fabric 2 inches longer and 2 inches taller than the kennel. These will form the sides of the cover.
- 4). Cut out two pieces of fabric 2 inches wider and 2 inches taller than the kennel. These will form the front and back pieces of the cover.
- 5). Match up one of the longer edges of each side piece to each of the longer edges of the top piece and sew them together this way.
- 6). Match up one of the shorter edges of the back piece to one of the shorter edges of the top piece and sew them together that way.
- 7). Sew the longer edges of the back piece to the adjacent edges of the side pieces.
- 8). Match up one of the shorter edges of the front piece with the other short edge of the top piece and sew them together this way.
- 9). Sew a zipper onto each long edge of the front piece, sewing the other ends of the zippers to the side pieces along the adjacent edges.

Fold over the bottom edge of the kennel cover 1/2 inch. Sew the fold in place, tucking the raw edges of the fabric under as you sew. - 11
Turn the cover right side out and slip it on top of the kennel.
