How to Paint Fishing Beads
- 1). Set up your work area. Open a window for ventilation and place toothpicks, nail polish and a block within easy reach.
- 2). Place a bead on the toothpick so that the tip of the toothpick pokes out of the top of the bead. Hold the toothpick steadily in your nondominant hand.
- 3). Shake up the bottle of nail polish, and unscrew the cap to remove the nailbrush. Hold the nailbrush to the bead, and gently roll the toothpick with your other hand to apply an even coat to the bead.
- 4). Stick the toothpick into the foam block once you're done painting to let it dry.
- 5). Allow your bead to dry for 10 minutes. Then apply a second coat of clear nail polish, or another similar color to your bead if you want a 3-D or glossy look.
- 6). Allow your beads at least 10 to 20 minutes to dry before stringing them.
