- 1). Try to run the printer cartridges through the standard print and align function. If the cartridge still does not print and it is not empty then you are going to need to manually clean the cartridge head.
- 2). Remove the cartridge from the printer.
- 3). Take a Q-tip and dip it in rubbing alcohol. Gently wring it out as much as possible.
- 4). With the cartridge head facing towards you slowly skim the area where the excess ink build-up has formed until you have removed the vast majority of it.
- 5). Allow the ink cartridge head to dry.
- 6). Once it is dry, place the cartridge in the printer.
- 7). Run the clean-and-align program and you should be good to go.
